Have you ever been raided and was like, "AWGH, DAMN RAID. I QUIT." Don't. If you quit and go to another server, it'll happen there too. It'll happen on any griefing server, like our wonderous iDreams voltz server. Plus you'll start from scratch and not what you'll have in your inventory. Take this being raided experience and turn it into a goal. Find out who your raiders were and try to find them and do the same thing that they did to you and do it to them.. As the quote goes, I think.. "Revenge is a drink best served cold." It's always satisfying when you kill your enemies in cold blood over and over again, it's what makes voltz so appealing. You can kill them with antimatter, nukes, or something of the sort. It's too much fun not to ignore. So if you just got raided and want to quit, just remember this: • If you go to another server, you'll just start over again from square one. • If you got raided when you were logged off you still keep whatever what was in your inventory, so there is a perk there. • There's always room for cold revenge.
Welcome to JAC iDreams Voltz! Upon joining our server, you are sent an automated message instructing you to read the /rules. The rules are always available to you in-game and here, and some of them are reiterated in the book issued with /kit book. The /rules also contain a simplified explanation of the rules that apply uniquely to our staff. Below are the rules that apply to you, the player. We therefore will cut you no slack if you claim not to have read them after committing an offense. It is your duty to conform to them, otherwise it is our duty to punish or remove you. Extremely clear /rules: ALWAYS listen to the staff, or risk the consequences. - You must obey the orders of staff. If you feel you have a LEGITIMATE staff or server criticism, you may voice it, but ONLY if you do so in a civil way. There is absolutely no need for unnecessary aggression. We don't use it with you, don't use it with us. We will not punish you on principle for voicing an opinion, unless you fail to conduct yourself in a mature manner while doing so. The official way to voice a concern or complaint is to launch a Report using the Report Center on this website, or tell a staff member on ts.jacgaming.com. Respect ALL other players and staff. - You may publicly trash each others' abilities, possessions, behaviors, etc, within the context of gameplay, as long as you are not deliberately "cheating" the chat filter, or spamming repeated content. You MAY NOT bring personal attacks into your trash-talk, such as references to height, weight, voice, race, age, or any other real life attributes. We are here to destroy each other in a shared gameplay environment, not rag on each other like little children. Take it to the playground if you want to keep this up, as you will be tempbanned, or worse; if you are a repeat offender. No spamming, swearing, or caps in chat. - It soon becomes clear to a new player that we are running a "seek and replace" chat-filter system. It does not auto-kick, ban, or punish for chat offenses, that is the job of our live staff. This filter simply replaces offensive words with silly words, with the exception of "crap". We do this to keep iDreams a certifiably all-ages environment, which means more players, and less degeneration into "battling" through obscenities rather than gameplay. It is FINE to "swear" where your swear is handled by the filter. It is NOT fine to deliberately try to beat the filter in order to get your swear through; for this, you will be punished. Caps are not appreciated, no matter how mad you are. We do not filter caps automatically so that you are able to type acronyms, or capped names without being censored. Spam is defined by any repeated input (2 or more separate submissions of the same text) or useless/disruptive content such as repeat symbols, exclamations, countdowns, etc. No saying "LAG" or "SWAG" or "YOLO" in chat! - Although the chat-filter catches all three of these, it bears mentioning that you will be kicked for spam if you attempt to exclaim "lag" on its own, as it counts as indefensibly useless and disruptive content. You MAY say lag within a context, such as "Man, I was lagging pretty bad earlier", but you may NOT sit there like a parrot, trying variations of the word lag during a crash or networking hiccup. No saying "LAAG" or other attempts to get round chat auto-filters. - This is a reiteration of the above rule. You may ask for a TPS reading in an effort to determine whether its an issue local to you or a processing issue from us. We would prefer you do this rather than spam lag. No racism, discrimination, religion, political or sex talk in chat. - This is an absolute. Global chat on iDreams is reserved for chat about gameplay, getting help from staff, getting important server messages, and generally having a good old Voltz-related time. It is NOT the forum to discuss your feelings about current affairs, racial heirarchy, your hatred of orphans, or any other potentially inflammatory subjects external to the game. If you have found your ideal leftist sparring partner on iDreams, then great, but take it to Skype, or you're banned. ENGLISH only in global chat. - Dear foreigners, we love you as much as we love ourselves, but unfortunately it is too chaotic to accommodate every flag's tongue in the limited chat space we have in Minecraft. While it is not an "offense" for you to speak your own language, you must cooperate with us by taking your speech into private messages, or private channels. No X-Ray texture packs. - First of all, this is a pathetic way to play, and second of all we will find you and ban you. So unless you have no regrets, you better get cozy with default. No hacked clients. - Any modifications to your client that give you offensive or protective advantages are strictly prohibited. You face a ban without appeal if you do not comply. No duping, or any other exploits. If you find an exploit, inform staff. - Modded Minecraft, by its nature, is usually extremely buggy. The resulting exploits are not to be used. You stand to gain a reward if you are able to inform us of a dupe or exploit that we were not aware of. You risk a long-term or permanent ban if you are caught using any of these exploits. PVP/Griefing IS allowed. - Do not come crying to us if your base is destroyed or you are killed. Moreover, please read the disclaimers on single item products such as swords or armor in the iDreams store. It is our responsibility to give you the item you ordered, not protect it from being stolen from you. We cannot and will not refund or revenge anyone. Scamming IS allowed. - Scamming of other PLAYERS is absolutely allowed. Attempting to "scam" staff who are on staff business by lying, hiding items, etc is NOT at all tolerated. There is no point in doing this, as they are not playing but working, and you have nothing to gain, except a jailing, temp-ban, or worse, for staff duty disruption, time-wasting, and disrespect. Advertising is a PERMABANNABLE OFFENSE. - There are no two ways about it. If you were advertising, then you are clearly aware of what advertising achieves. You may not claim ignorance or innocence. This is an immediate ban without appeal. This, along with cyber threats (threatening, whether serious or not, to ddos or compromise a player, staff or the server itself), and genuine sexual solicitation are the 3 instantly permabannable offenses on this server. Unlike other offenses, they do not come with the option to appeal. No building bases ABOVE The Nether. - Reaching the top of the Nether is done using a glitch. It is therefore not a legitimate playing or building surface. Trespassers will be punished. No MFFS kill fields within 1000 blocks of the edge of SafeZone - This is a common courtesy. Your kill station will be regenerated and you will be punished. No kill fields (or similar) on the main island of The End - This is considered The End's SafeZone. See above. Any misuse of a donator perk will result in it being removed from the player. - The iDreams ranks come with certain privileges, such as /nick. If you use this to create obscene names, or 9-mile long aliases, it can be taken away from you. You have been warned. No impersonating staff, no misrepresenting the words of staff members. - While it is fine to impersonate another player, you may NOT do the same with staff members. This would enable you to confuse and illegitimately hurt or grief absolute newbie players who do not understand the "tilde" symbol, the rank system, or what counts as official staff. If you are playing against a staff member who is not on duty, you will have to find a more creative way to scam them, because this method is strictly prohibited at all times. No griefing of SafeZone or any other protected server regions. - It goes without saying that SafeZone and other official iDreams display and utility areas are NOT to be griefed or raided. We have taken great pains to make our protection as airtight as possible - but this is not a challenge. Anyone caught griefing will be severely punished.
This is the policy for idream's space station, I wanted to give it it's own thread so it will be easier to find and read. Space station policy: By Radfast After discussions between the senior staff last night, we have come up with this policy ("subject to revision"): 1) Players must be able to enter the Space Station dimension at the spawn location (and remain in a 3x3x(Infinite Y) protected area centered on the spawn location), unharmed. 2) No 100% invulnerable Space Stations. It must be reasonably possible for players - well-equipped, experienced players at least - to get out of the spawn area. 3) No obstruction of the spawn location using blocks. 4) No automatic killing of players at the spawn location. You may not use any automatic method of killing in the 3x3x(Infinite Y) protected zone. 5) No walling-in of the spawn location using impenetrable walls (for example forcefields). Any Space Station violating this policy will be dismantled by admins and you will not be refunded. To help to enforce (4) and (5) above, we have modified the way that Interdiction Matrices and Forcefield Projectors work on Space Stations. The Interdiction Matrix will now have zero effect on a player in a 3x3x(Infinite Y) area centered on the spawn location - if there is an Interdiction Matrix in operation there, the player will be warned that he or she is inside a Interdiction Matrix field, that is all. Forcefield Projectors will now be unable to project fields into that 3x3 area. Note: iDreams policy on Space Stations is still under review and discussion. The policy may change again if we still think that Space Stations are overpowered. FAQ: Q. Can I build a base on a Space Station? A. Yes, as long as you follow the policy set out above. Q. Can I build a base far from spawn in a Space Station dimension? A. Yes, you can do this just the same way as you can in The End. But, on Space Stations, we strongly recommend do not build anything more than 2000 blocks from spawn as we might be making the 'World Border' smaller for Space Stations in future. The world border has been decided to be 10,000 blocks from spawn point (Edited by TorchedCore) Q. Can I set my /home on a Space Station? A. Yes, you can set homes there. However: if that particular Space Station dimension is not loaded (because there are no players there at the time) then your /home command will not work, and if you try to use it you will end up some place on the overworld. This is built-in to the game and is not something we plan to change. Q. If I am on a Space Station and I log out, will I still be there the next time I log in? A. Yes. Q. If I warp away from my Space Station base, how can I get back there? Several ways. 1. Use a rocket and fly there like anyone else. 2. If you are a donator with access to the \back command, you can use that (obviously only if the Space Station was the last place you warped away from). Other possible ways also, figure those out for yourself. Q. Can I teleport to a player who is on a Space Station? Can a player who is on a Space Station use the /tpahere command? A. Yes and yes. Q. I was killed by an Interdiction Matrix on a Space Station last week, can I get my stuff back? A. No. Only if it was after the date of this post. Q. What if I destroy all the blocks at the Space Station spawn, so that players coming there in a rocket will fall into the void? A. That would be against policy (1). Players coming to a Space Station in a rocket, must be safe in a 3x3 area around the spawn location. Q. Can I use Laser Turrets, Sludge, Radioactive blocks, Spikes, or traditional redstone traps to damage players coming to my Space Station? A. No, no, no, no and no - not if these affect players in the 3x3 area around the spawn position. Q. How about a multi-layered forcefield? A. Forcefield around your base is fine. Forcefield around the spawn location so that players cannot break out, is not fine - see policy (5). Q. What if I just box-in the spawn location using obsidian blocks? A. It depends on how you do it, and we will be keeping this type of thing under careful review. It must be reasonably possible for a regular player to break out of there and get into the rest of the Space Station dimension. So if, for example, you make a box which cannot be damaged by any Tier 2 missile (any missile which can be launched from a handheld rocket launcher), staff will probably decide that is overpowered and take it down. Q. Do I have to provide oxygen for other players at the spawn location on my Space Station? A. No, you do not have to do that! If players are harmed there because they went in a rocket without any oxygen gear, that is their problem.
